Puzzle -5-Gluing Pyramid

This is an easy but beautiful puzzle of Geometry.
A Solid square based pyramid, with all edges of unit length, and a solid triangle-base pyramid(tetrahedron),also with all edges of unit length, are glued together by matching two triangular faces.
How many faces does the resulting solid have?

  1. Is the answer 7 ?
If it is then I don't see why is this a "beautiful puzzle of geometry",
if not, then I take my remarks back and would urge the moderators to shed some light on the solution.

  2. I expect it to be 5, i.e., the same as that of the square based pyramid.
